The property is situated in a quiet corner of the historical centre of Venice, close to the famous Lista di Spagna the gateway to the cultural and artistic treasures of the city. It is also only 150 metres from the Santa Lucia railway station and about eight minutes on foot from the Piazzale Roma parking area. The recent restoration aimed at preserving the charm of the ancient Abbey, where 50 rooms have been created, a part of which overlooking a private inner garden.

Our Hotel Abbazia (Abbey) belongs to the evocative monastery complex of the Barefooted Carmelite Friars of Venice. The recent restoration wanted to preserve the charm of the ancient Abbey, where there have been opened 50 rooms, a part of which looking a private inner garden. All the rooms are supplied with bath, air conditioner (in summer) or central heating, direct dialling telephone, TV sat. and mini-bar.

The Hotel Abbazia is situated just in the historical centre, only 150 metres from the railway station “Santa Lucia” and walking about eight minutes from the car terminal “Piazzale Roma”.
How to reach us
FOR OUR GUESTS WHO ARRIVE BY AIR
From the airport “Marco Polo” in Tessera, one can choose: 1) the “Fly bus”, belonging to the company “A.t.v.o.”, which performs a regular line service as far as “Piazzale Roma” and costs about Euro 2,50 per person, luggage included (the journey lasts about twenty minutes); 2) the taxi (always as far as P.le Roma) which costs Euro 25,00); 3) the water taxi (“motoscafo”) which costs about Euro 80,00) and lands just near our hotel.
FOR OUR GUESTS WHO ARRIVE BY CAR
Past the bridge “Ponte della Libertà”, which links Venice with the main-land, one arrives at the terminal “Piazzale Roma” where most of the public garages of Venice are to be found; as our hotel belongs to the Venitian Hotel Association (A.V.A.), our guests can take advantage of a discount on the parking cost if they utilize the “Garage San Marco”; from there, one can reach the hotel by foot or choose to catch the “vaporetto” (water bus) #82 or #1 and get off at the first stop called “Ferrovia”. Later the discount coupon will be delivered by our hotel.
Restaurant
The hotel features a welcoming bar where guest can relax and unwind. During the summer the services of the bar are also available in the garden area.
The breakfast buffet is served from 7.30 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the breakfast room.
During the summertime, breakfast is served in the garden.
